Deputy Administrator: PAY IS DEPENDENT ON EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Works under the direction of the VP of Health Services.
Responsible for completing projects and task assignments.
Advises and consults with the VP of Health Services on patient care issues and service problems.
Willing to learn all aspects of Maniilaq Health Center (MHC) operations and spend time in specific departments to better understand the provision of services by MHC and village clinics.
Participates in leadership/management meetings.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Assists with the daily operations of the hospital.
2.
Initially spends the time necessary to become more familiar with the areas outlined by direct supervisor.
Assists in developing and implementing department-specific plans and initiatives to improve department performance.
3.
Participates in the meetings of the Executive Leadership Team and the Maniilaq Health Services Committee of the Board of Directors.
4.
Oversees / facilitates projects and task assignments as assigned by the VP of Health Services.
5.
Assists MHS Directors and Program Managers in the development and monitoring performance of individual program budgets.
6.
Assists in the development of program reports to the governing body or to meet agency reporting requirements.
7.
Assists in preparation and participates in annual negotiations for funding agreement with Indian Health Service.
8.
Represents Maniilaq Health Services at local, state and national meetings as assigned.
9.
Assumes responsibilities of the VP of Health Services when necessary.
10.
Assist in planning and development of mentorship program for youth seeing healthcare careers.
11.
Takes Administrative call.
*Job Qualifications:* MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS An Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience in relevant area (business, allied health field).
Excellent communication skills a must; particularly the ability to effectively communicate and work with multiple divisions/departments and individuals.
At least five (5) years of progressive experience and increasing responsibilities related to health care finance, program planning, managing State, Federal and private contracts and grants.
Knowledge of and direct experience with P.
L.

Excellent verbal and written skills.
