Position Summary:
The Center for Innovation, Commercialization, and Entrepreneurship (Center ICE), in collaboration with the Alaska Blue Economy Center (ABEC), is hiring a project manager to lead a Blue Economy track within Center ICE.
This work is tied to a larger statewide initiative related to growing Alaska’s mariculture industry.
The individual will have broad exposure and involvement with activities at Center ICE and ABEC with the potential to grow into other roles.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Accountable, adaptable, creative, skilled at delegating, leadership, highly organized.
Budget management.
Problem solving and strategic thinking.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to use Google suite of tools and Microsoft software.
Ability to work with a team but also is a self-starter
Ability to be self-motivated and to complete tasks in a timely manner.
Preferred Experience & Education:
Some experience in an academic environment and steering projects that include hands-on training.
Some familiarity with the basic concepts of entrepreneurialism and developing innovative technical solutions to real world challenges.
Required Experience & Education:
Three years college coursework and three years progressively responsible experience related to the program specialty, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Salary Information:
This is a full-time, 12-month, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package.
New hires will be placed on the UA staff salary schedule, Grade 80, based on education and experience.
