Position Summary:
Are you interested in building your resume and playing a vital role in the Admissions process at UAF? The Office of Admissions Admissions Processing team is hiring a Student Assistant.
This position will assist the Admissions Manager and Coordinators in everyday operations that ensure a smooth UAF Admissions process.
Student Processing Assistants work with the Admissions processing team to import documents, update student applications, and work on semester-based projects to ensure timely and concise admissions to the university.
To thrive in this role, applicants need to have good communication skills, enjoy working alone and as part of a team, have good attention to detail, and have basic computer skills.
This position also requires self-motivation and independent working skills for project work and daily tasks.
Minimum Qualifications:
This recruitment is open to current students of the University of Alaska.
All applicants must have a 2.
0 cumulative GPA and maintain enrollment in at least 6 undergraduate credit hours, or 6 graduate credit hours for student employment during the academic year.
Position Details:
This position is located on the UAF campus.
Starting salary - $16.
00/hr
To be eligible for student employment, an applicant must:
a.
Be enrolled in the University of Alaska system with a minimum of six credit hours in the current semester of employment; or
b.
Have been enrolled the preceding semester for six or more credit hours and demonstrate plans to enroll for six or more credit hours in the next semester for employment between semesters; and
c.
Have at least a 2.
0 cumulative grade point average (GPA) or approval from the MAU Senior Student Services officer or his/her designee.
d.
Students enrolled in nontraditional programs of study will be considered eligible for student employment with the approval of the Senior Student Services officer.
e.
An applicant must provide evidence of enrollment as outlined above to substantiate employment eligibility.
This is a pooled position, which means that the position remains open over the entire academic year.
