Position Summary:

UAF's Center for Innovation, Commercialization, and Entrepreneurship (Center ICE) amplifies the impact of university R&D by catalyzing, supporting, and transferring solutions to real world challenges.
Our office is looking for a full-time technology transfer professional to bridge new innovations from the research lab to the community.
Come and help us work with partners and licensees to transform innovations into new products and services for the benefit of society!
This role involves working with researchers to understand and summarize their solutions, protecting the intellectual property, and finding community and industry partners that can take the reigns in implementing the solution.
The technology transfer associate should have the ability to work independently with intermittent supervision as well as to work successfully as a member of a team.
The associate should have excellent interpersonal as well as strong written and oral communication skills, in particular with scientists and non-scientists.
The associate should be knowledgeable of computer operations.
The associate should be able to quickly learn about a technology.
The associate should be able to sell an idea.
Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor's or a master's degree in technology, business administration or related fields.
Position Details:
This position is located on the Troth Yeddha' campus in Fairbanks Alaska.
This is a full-time, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package.

New hires will be placed on the UA staff salary schedule, Grade 79, based on education and experience.
