Position Summary:
The UAF Northwest Campus Workforce Development Specialist works with NWC staff and faculty, and local and regional governmental representatives to support the identification, development and maintenance of programs and courses to meet the needs of the region and campus partners.
As our workforce development specialist, you will act as the UAF Northwest Campus ambassador to partner with industry and educational representatives to serve the Bering Strait regional communities.
You will identify and support programs and courses to meet the workforce needs of the region and campus partners.
To thrive in this role, candidates should demonstrate effective communication skills.
A strong candidate will demonstrate the ability to research and identify resources and pathways to develop plans toward employment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Three years of progressively responsible experience related to strategic planning, workforce development, industry partnership, and program development.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Alaska driver’s license and clean driving record in compliance with UA Safe Driving criteria is required.
Position Details:
This position is located on the Northwest campus in Nome.
This is a full-time, term, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package.
