Responsible for the direct supervision of clients in a structured residential program.
The responsibilities of the role require a firm and fair approach, with honesty and integrity.

The individual is required to follow established regulations and procedures, inclusive of regulatory standards and procedures.
The RM must be able to comprehend and apply core correctional practices and cognitive behavioral treatment approaches.
They must be able to function well in a fast-paced and, at times, stressful environment.

Role Summary Travel Residential Aides/ Monitors will report to the Residential Coordinator Caleb Thomas.
RMA work on 3 days on shift, 2 days off shift.
Residential Aides will assist in the 24/7 operations of the residence.
Residential Aides will have direct contact with residents on a daily basis and will provide assistance with activities, scheduling, coverage in the home and on off-site trips, cleaning of the home, cooking (including daily community meals), and documentation of daily tasks.
Residential Aides will help to ensure that house rules and operational procedures are followed.
All staff is expected to model behavior consistent with good citizenship, self-respect, and respect for others.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Provides guidance, crisis intervention, motivational counseling and ensures program policy and procedure is followed.
Completes documentation in accordance with established standards, and incident reports and other data in an accurate and timely manner.
Assisting residents with daily personal routines, including bathing prompts and cues, dressing, grooming, eating.
Train and monitor residents in the implementation and integration of independent skills such as bed making, laundry, etc Providing companionship to residents and establishing a trusting relationship with them.
Participate in shift change daily in with manager for resident report and receive any added assignment.
Supervise resident AM/PM care.
Supervise patient medication, document all incoming medications, and coordinate with nurse and psychiatrist/physician regarding medication compliance.
Maintain residents’ schedule for your shift.
Observe and assure adherence to house rules.
Monitor all chores and work projects.
Facilitate didactic groups and assist residents with recreational activities that promote comfort, security, and recovery.
Collects urinalysis specimens as assigned as needed.
Transports and supervises consumers on activities, field trips and recreational outings and appointments following vehicle operation and safety procedures as needed.
Remains on premises during entire shift to provide coverage.
Reporting any concerns or medical issues.
Ensuring that the residents' living quarters are safe and well-organized.
Keeping records of resident activity, behavior, and moods.
Collaborating with management and coworkers to ensure residents receive the best quality of life possible.
Providing mentorship to residents and establishing a trusting relationship with them.
Monitor residents and facility for contraband, conducting pat-down searches, as necessary, as per agency policy Conduct urinalysis and Blood Alcohol Concentrations (BACs), as required.
Enforce program rules and regulations and follow appropriate reporting procedures RESPONSIBILITIES Assure resident movement follows agency procedure.
Assure appointments, wake-ups, lights-out, and transportation scheduling are organized and met.
Conduct hourly “eye check” of all residents and log accordingly.
Record complete and comprehensive notes, on all shift activities, via the facility log on the agency intranet system.
FACILITY OPERATION Understand and adhere to procedural requirements of facility activities.
Conduct scheduled inspections of facility, prepare, and monitor resident house assignments, and requisition necessary repairs.
Monitor supply inventories as required, recommend, replenishment, and maintain invoice procedures.
Maintain inventory of first aid and fire equipment.
Dispense/receive linens for residents.
Maintain overall sanitation of facility.
Oversee meal preparation and clean-up.
Maintain overall building security.
Monitor and manage facility as required assuring for lights out, visitation rules, and that activity areas are appropriately met.
Conduct emergency drills as required.
PROGRAM/ACTIVITIES Be aware of resident treatment plans and needs and reinforce individual treatment goals.
Participate in mandatory facility meetings, review necessary resident information, and participate in shift briefings.
Respond to emergency situations and provide crisis intervention when needed.
Maintain a facility atmosphere conducive to agency philosophy and humane living conditions.
Respond to resident needs and conflicts in a preventative fashion so as to reduce volatile situations.
Attend all probationary training/unit meetings/and any additional training assigned.
GENERAL FUNCTIONS Support, cooperate, and work with other agency staff in meeting the needs of the program.
Provide assistance as required by supervisory staff.
Adhere to the Policy and Procedure of the agency.
Reports directly to the supervisor on duty.
Perform other tasks as may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS Must be eligible to become a (QAP) Qualified Addiction Professional Must obtain a Chemical Dependency CT or CDCI and or a CDC ll within two years Bachelors/Associate’s degree in Sociology, Psychology, Human Services, Criminal Justice/Social Service field preferred or High School diploma or equivalent required.
Relevant job experience may be substituted for preferred college degree.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and a driving record that doesn’t preclude the employee from being covered by Agency liability insurance.
Maintain a record which does not preclude the employee from working with offenders as required by regulatory agencies.
CNA or similar certification a plus.
Friendly, professional demeanor.
Strong emotional intelligence and listening skills.
Good physical fitness.
Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
Frequently required to sit, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
